MgF2 has excellent transmission in the UV, they are often used to make windows with high transmittance from below 150 nm and extending throughout the visible range. CaF2 Windows are relatively soft and somewhat hygroscopic so polishing, coating and handling are more critical than UV Fused Silica windows.
